The candidate is responsible for the design, development and execution of automated tests for distributed enterprise applications with external and internal interfaces utilizing Microservices and business automation patterns. As an active participant on a scrum team, the candidate is responsible for all aspects of quality assurance including test automation, and development of automated processes within a testing framework. This role works closely with software engineers, fellow QA engineers, DevOps engineers, infrastructure and security professionals. Flexibility to work collaboratively and knowledgeably with team members in each area is vital. The candidate documents and works to resolve problems, reports progress on problem resolution, devises improvements to current procedures, and develops models of possible future configurations. We are looking for a Staff SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) with strong proficiency in TypeScript to join our engineering team.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and tools to ensure the quality and performance of our applications. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and the SRE team to create robust testing solutions that support our continuous integration and delivery pipelines.

🧱 Design and implement scalable test automation frameworks using TypeScript
🧪 Write and maintain automated UI, API, E2E, and integration tests
🤝 Collaborate with developers to write testable code and integrate tests early in the development lifecycle
🧠 Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and contribute to overall testability and quality improvements
📈 Continuously improve test coverage, reliability, and performance of automation
⚙️ Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, or similar

Write automated test code that allows for repeatable, reliable testing solutions to test restful services using API automation testing tools such as Karate, REST-Assured etc. and maintaining automation codebase in a version control system (GIT, SVN). Work with the Development and Product management teams to understand new requirements and write functional/sanity/smoke tests
Collaborate with the QA team to translate regression test cases into automation tests. Write mock scripts to test error handling and resiliency of the APIs. Performance test of restful micro-services and provide SLAs on it. Automate and execute performance test scripts to measure speed and reliability of the APIs using performance test tools such as k6, j-meter etc. Develop and setup Sanity, Daily run and Regression tests using Concourse CI/CD tool.

Highly experienced Senior SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) to help deliver test automation across our software development lifecycle. This role is ideal for someone with deep expertise in test automation, software development, and testing. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps to ensure our products meet the highest standards of reliability, performance, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks for UI, API, DB, and backend services.
• Drive quality initiatives across teams, including test strategy, coverage analysis, and CI/CD integration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define acceptance criteria and ensure testability of features.
• Lead root cause analysis and debugging of complex issues in production and test environments.
• Advocate for shift-left testing and continuous quality improvements throughout the SDLC.

Required Qualifications
• 10+ years of experience in software testing and automation.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Java and/or Python.
• Expertise with Selenium, Selenide, Rest-Assured, JUnit/TestNG, Karate frameworks.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab).
• Solid understanding of software architecture, microservices, and cloud platforms (AWS).
• Proven ability to design scalable and maintainable test frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling).
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

About This RoleWe're looking for an SDET/QA who's hands-on with test automation and ready to grow. Your home base will be mobile, writing and maintaining automated tests that keep our iOS and Android apps shipping with confidence and you'll bring your automation skills across our other consumer-facing surfaces as needs arise.

This is a hands-on IC role. You'll write automation code daily, contribute to testing strategy within your team, and help raise the quality bar across the squads you work with. You’ll report to the QA manager, sit within the Mobile Application Development team and partner closely with engineers across mobile, web, and platform.
You'll focus on three areas:
• Mobile Test Automation: writing and maintaining Appium-based automated test suites for iOS and Android across UI, integration, and API layers.
• Cross-Platform Quality: applying automation practices to web and other application surfaces when the team needs it.
• Tooling and Infrastructure: contributing to the automation framework, CI/CD test integration, and shared test utilities.
