Job Description
This role would be working with an international team of software professionals doing QA Automation. The end customer is government entities, so the software has to be more bug-free with fewer updates than normal - heavy emphasis on ensuring thorough testing and partnership with software development. Need will be to transition testing from dev to dedicated test resources. Participate in daily scrum meetings, user stories, and software deployment. Most of the customers are federal government branches, so software has to be deployed with a high degree of error free software solution.
Required Skills:
• 5+ years of software development in test automation experience (SDET).
• 5+ years Manual Testing of new and refactored software. Thinking outside the box to use manual testing to find different ways to break and find bugs in the software
• Demonstrated experience with being creative & curious
• Can show step-by-step process in documenting manual testing.
• Can convey what defect lifecycle testing is and have hands-on experience with manual testing
• Experience building test automation software scripting and automation tools - after you have thoroughly done manual testing to find everything you can break.
• Strong SQL - ability to create complex SQL statements and queries (will be evaluated on this during the interview)
• Test Tools could include as many of these as possible: Postman, REST, Selenium, GraphQL, JMeter, Ruby, WaitiR.
• UI test automation skills
• demonstrated experience working on atleast one UI Automation tool and is able to write scripts with very little training
• API's test manual & automation skills
• demonstrated experience working on atleast one API Tool and is able to write scripts wit very little training
• CI/CD experience
• Bachelor's Degree in a technical field such as CS, MIS, Math or Engineering discipline.
