Job Summary

The Senior Accessibility & QA Automation Test Engineer, is a hands-on test engineer responsible for ensuring enterprise-scale digital systems are functionally correct, usable, secure, performant, and fully accessible to all users, including individuals with disabilities. The Senior Accessibility & QA Automation Test Engineer operates independently, influences technical decisions, and raises the overall accessibility and quality maturity of Agile teams.

Due to the nature of our work as a federal consulting organization, employees may be expected to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and must adhere to applicable safeguarding and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities
• Perform manual and automated functional testing of application code, APIs, and integrated services
• Execute non-functional testing, including performance and load testing, to validate system stability and capacity
• Conduct manual and automated accessibility testing throughout the software development lifecycle
• Validate conformance with WCAG 2.1 Level A and AA requirements and applicable federal accessibility standards
• Perform screen reader and keyboard-only testing using JAWS and NVDA
• Execute automated accessibility scans using tools such as axe, pa11y, and ANDI, and validate results through manual testing
• Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts aligned with user stories and acceptance criteria
