Sherpa 6 is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our team. We build mission critical systems for the Department of Defense (DoD) and other commercial customers. We’re looking for experienced Test Automation Engineers that will improve and expand our automated testing capabilities across multiple projects and applications.
Responsibilities:
• Research software design documents for new or existing features to thoroughly understand the software under test
• Formulate and document test cases to test the efficacy and performance of web, mobile, and desktop applications
• Convert manual test plans into automated test software to ensure optimal test coverage.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines to execute regular, thorough regression tests.
• Report bugs in a concise, accurate, and reproducible way
• Work closely with teams of software developers and other engineers to solve complex test automation scenarios.
• Attend regular meetings to facilitate collaboration between engineers and across teams
Requirements:
• 3+ years of Software Development or Test Automation experience
• Strong Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) skills.
• Experience with ticketing software (Jira, Rally, etc.)
• Experience with Selenium/Appium
• Experience working with teams of engineers within the Agile framework
• Strong language/communication skills
• Experience coding in Java
Qualities of Exceptional Candidates:
• Experience working with containerized environments (Docker)
• Front-end, back-end, or mobile application development experience of any kind
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and technologies
• Extreme, uncompromising attention to detail
